Dear friends,

Swiss luxury watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen announced Sonam Kapoor as a brand ambassador, earlier this year. We are very happy to have the versatile fashion icon and actress on the cover for this issue. The uniqueness and creative storytelling of the brand, seems to resonate well with her!

The past few weeks were busy ones! We were headed to where the watch world converges…at Baselworld 2017. If it has to do with watches…it has to be at Basel. As key Baselworld Media Partners, the Watch Market Review team was present in Basel from March 23 to March 30. The world horological industry converged at this one place. More on this later, in a special Baselworld issue. Within Watches talks about a very difficult complication to master- the minute repeater. Sweet as they may sound, it takes great complex mastery to come up with such a bespoke complication. But as we all know, watchmakers are always up to a good challenge! In Stories of Time we explore the aura of the serpent motif. What is it that makes watch and lifestyle brands turn to it time and again?
