Talk of the town

ICE-SAR Arctic 1001 and 1002

Luminox watches have been trusted companions for those who seek tough adventures. The ICE-SAR Arctic 1001 and 1002 models are the latest tough watches that join the brand’s illustrious timepieces. The watches come with a 46mm Carbonox case. Carbonox is an extremely tough and durable carbon-based material. Moreover, it is exclusive to Luminox. These timepieces feature scratch-resistant sapphire crystals and are powered by a Swiss Made quartz movement from Ronda and are water resistant to 200 meters. Features include date, with a sweep second hand.

We also know that Luminox timepieces are known for their illumination prowess. Luminox Lighting Technology (LLT), which guarantees ultimate night vision for 24 hours a day for up to 25 years through their use of tritium tubes, has been used in these watches. The logo of ICE-SAR, with its four circle-section elements, inspired the shape of the bezels of the collection, and the hands are shaped to resemble the carabiners that the rescuers use on every mission.

The hard-sandblasted dial calls to mind the lava fields that cover 30% of Iceland, and on the black/red models, the number 12 is replaced with 112, the emergency number in many countries of Europe and USA. These models sport a black dial and a black dial with red accents. Straps on these models are genuine rubber with textile top insert and include a Carbonox signature buckle.

These are not just any watches that merely tell time…. these are tools that accompany the bravest on the most spectacular adventures!
