Time Unleashed

In 2009, Frederique Constant debuted its collaboration with the Riva Historical Society alongside Piero Mario Gibellini and Carlos Riva whose sole purpose is to preserve the remaining Riva boats worldwide, and helping their owners safeguard their prized possessions in the best way possible. Frederique Constant honours their commitment to preserving the Riva name and what it stands for by creating limited-edition Runabout timepieces inspired by the timeless 1920s Riva boats every year.

This year, two new automatic models join the collection. The rose gold plated case of the watch reflects a polishing treatment, reminiscent to the lustrous appearance of the Riva boats. Protected by a convex sapphire crystal, the navy-blue dial bears Frederique Constant’s classic hobnail pattern with a central guilloche which breaks up the dial. The Arabic numerals, indexes, and hands are completed with a luminous treatment. The final detail on the dial is the date window at 6 o’clock with a magnifying lens. Around the outer rim of the dial, the minutes are displayed.

An elegant detail is the see-through sapphire case back, revealing the automatic mechanism. Distinguished by the engraving of the Riva Historical Society flag. To complete the look of these watches, it bears a navy leather strap with white stitching.

This timepiece is an exclusive limited edition of 2888 pieces, delivered in a special limited-edition box including a miniature wooden replica of the Riva boat.
